1 ADHD tip/day. Simple as that. No overwhelming distraction.Reddit went through 700 Reddit comments and collected ADHD pro-tips. And we created an app because love it.
u/beatadhd:
""So there was that awesome Reddit thread with a bunch of ADHD'ers sharing real tips that have changed their life.
I thought it was a great change from most advice on the internet which is written by non-ADHD'ers (and it's painfully obvious that it is).
I read through the 700+ comments and paraphrased, merged, and categorized all the tips.
The 131 tips are split into the following categories:
- General
- Cleaning
- Memory
- Time Blindness
- Distractions
- Getting Things Done
- Emotional Dysregulation
- Sleep
- Relationships
- Work
- School
- Executive Function
- Nutrition/Medication

Was excited to try it. Until it didn't work. I can't get to the actual life hacks section of it. I can get the daily quote and recommend adhd apps. But not the daily life hacks. I've looked to see if my phone needed an update or the app. Both were up to date. Ive uninstalled, reinstalled, restarted my phone, turned my phone off and on, disconnected from wifi, reconnected to wifi, turned data off and on, yet ai still can't get to the life hacks. I'm sure if this app worked I'd love it, i don't rn

I really enjoy the daily tips and encouragement. It would be better if the entire screen could be read, but often words are cut off because the image extends above the top screen margin and can't be zoomed, or I can't "like" something to save it because the banner at the top won't go away.

Edit: Everything works now! Great little app! Previous review (for clarity): The text for the Lifehacks doesn't actually show up. All I see is the header. I have the option to hit share -> copy -> paste into a note to see what it says, but it doesn't show up in the app itself. I'm excited to change my rating once that issue is fixed because this is going to be an awesome tool for folks, but right now it's not super functional.

Listen, maybe this is on me. I didn't realize it was one hack a day. The last picture states it, sure, but the second image made it seem as though i could look at many hacks. Honestly, one a day isn't good enough for me, as waiting an entire day to see something I've probably already seen/tried seems impractical. I suppose it was a nice effort, though.

Currently has a bug which makes the app pretty much useless. When you open the app you see the life hack for about a second before it takes you immediately to an affirmation. From this moment on you can only see the affirmation but can't scroll across to see the actual life hacks. Had the same issue on my previous phone.

Not a useful app for how my ADHD symptoms show up. First there are 2 separate apps (this & affirmations). They don't do anything but give a daily quote. You can't load other quotes, you have to wait until the next day so I can't "binge" when my interest is highest (in the initial "new app excitement" phase)... so I never developed any love for these apps. There's a daily notification, which can be useful, but it requires you to go into the app itself! So just added to my notification overwhelm.

New update is horrible. I cannot tap through the different cards. All my old favourites have been removed. When opening for the first time it asks you about which categories you'd like lifehacks from, but it seems as though you are unable to change them after this. The new design looks very childish and silly.

One tip a day, and you don't get to choose the category? My ADHD needs specific ones to look at, not something random. I'm over 60 and seeing the first one was turn in assignments even if not finished, did not resonate with me and my life. Uninstalled the app. Still looking for something that is relevant.
