Location info got stripped from my photos recently. It's probably a security "feature", but I don't want NextCloud doing me a favor. I could finally find the "All files access" setting, that allows NextCloud to save GPS data along with the pictures. BTW, I'm using NextCloud since a few years, and I find it useful, despite I find the Interface unintuitive, and the synchronization gets stuck every now and then. (Other times it starts re-ing all my photos unnecessarily.)

Overall it works well. Auto- is ing within a few minutes after the pic or video was recorded. For data communication to NextCloud, you can chose either WIFI only or WiFi and Data. The big issue is: The video clips do not show thumbnails unless you thru the application the very same video you recorded on the phone and was auto-ed... Waste of money, time and space on cellphone. Please fix this ASAP!!!

Mostly helpful, but some core features are unreliable. When you delete a photo on Android, it gets renamed as a dot file (.trashed[xyz...]). Unfortunately this app doesn't discern between dot files and normal files, so they get ed anyway. I have to to my instance to delete all the photos that were already deleted on my phone. The other main issue is file sync to device doesn't really seem to work. You mark files for offline access, but it only s a few then gives up.

I love NextCloud, a wonderful example of FOSS but I'm baffled as to the 4.6 stars, considering that it doesn't reliably offer anything more than the web UI. In fact, it offers less! - Auto doesn't anything, just consumes battery (20% today) and data (1GB in a week) despite making no changes to my files. - Installed apps are not available - Regularly crashes - Regularly fails to display contemporary file state. Do yourself a favour and save a bookmark to your homescreen.

A lot of peculiar bugs on the mobile version. I'll be typing in the middle of the document and it'll start eating the text that comes after. When I zoom in and out, it loads different versions of the doc for each zoom. One time autocorrect only half-worked, where it wouldn't delete the old incorrect word while still adding the one. ("Thersg" would become "thersgthere"). I like this as a replacement for Google Docs so I hope they manage to fix these.

the principle is awesome and general functionality is great. as a newbie to it I did find it not very intuitive, such as installing and setting up apps requires going through several different screens and alot of apps seem to need dependencies but don't give you a button on that screen to install it directly (eg: try setting up memories) but overall I'm starting to get my head around it and loving it

Sync does not work 100% of the time. It seems to choose which files sync at random if you sync folders. Attempting to force sync was not working for me. No option to just folders. On device folder does not function as intended. I think next cloud on pc seems good so far as I've only been using it for a few weeks now.

Using it to sync my files with my own nextcloud server, mostly works like a charme but I also dont require much more from it. my biggest issue is that Nextcloud is always topping the battery usage on my phone. They app is only allowed to sync my files while I'm on wifi and even if im not connected to my wifi for an entire day, nextcloud still stays eats the most battery. i dont wanna disable the app because then I might forget about it when I actually want to sync my files.
