New version is great. Opened up last night. Today all I get is a screen with what looks like the moon floating across rolling hills. Just can't open into the app. Update - finally managed to open the app. Less friendly than the older versions. No centre of map marker which I found very useful in the older versions. Haven't been able to show planned trips in Explore mode. I find this makes it more difficult to plan stops along the chosen route.

This was a very helpful app for finding free camp spots. So glad to have had it available when we travel. Not now, the latest update has ruined everything. Missing some sites that I know are still there, can't "heart" anything, lost all my previous hearts, not saving trips properly, not showing parks etc on the map, which is now not that detailed. Change it back!

The latest update has made everything much more difficult to read. The "site features" used to be colour coded, easily recognisable and all show up in the quick view of a site and now they are just ugly grey symbols that you have to expand the site to see. Also, you used to be able to easily filter what was shown with sliders to hide, show or show only, making it easy to find exactly what you were looking for. Now there is a series of drop down lists with check boxes and much less functionality.

What do you do if you have a perfectly good app that is easy to use? Change it, of course! Change it so it loses all your previously written notes, change it so it's more difficult to find your favourites and change it so it mostly doesn't even open!! I've used this app for about 10 years and found it invaluable. Now I think it's time to go back to Camps Australia.... Oh, and I've ed Wikicamps several days ago and haven't heard back apart from an automated message.

The latest update should never have been released! Once you eventually figure out how to , you will spend 60% of your time staring at the green loading screen, and 40% of your time trying to find the camp you just "liked" that's the same icon as all the other camps (no longer a heart shape), oh, that's if they even load, as they all disappear as you zoom in and out and move the map around 🤦♀️ . Too many clicks to do things and too reliant on internet connection to be useful. Sad.

How to wreck a great app!! It was great before the update. Favourite park icons used to show as a heart shape making them easy to find again later. Also much slower to load and unless you've selected off-line maps whilst you still have a good wifi signal, it won't load with just 4G phone data like it always did, so it's too late to get into it to change it to off-line. Give me the old program any day.

The app is a fantastic resource for travelling with our caravan, but... and it's a big "but"... the app has a way too heavy reliance on a strong internet connection. It takes for ever to start up since the last update, and you can forget it if your internet connection is not good. The developers must figure a way to lighten the load on a server connection for the app to start up or to work at all. Put more data into the phone's memory or something!

The new UI is not as good as the original, the site amenities symbols are much harder to understand. The whole app seems like it is pivoting away from the greatness it was to be more commercial with new features like booking and partner discounts. I sincerely hope this app does not stray too far away from the original as it was a great tool for travelling.
